This is a simple, easy to play, multi-note tong drum made of wood.
Tong drums are types of 'slit' drums and are designed for quick rhythmic patterns so it is supplied with two beaters.
It sits on a surface for playing and the sound is very special - it sounds good however you play it. Children as young as 1 or even younger can play this instrument.
N.B. For SEN settings - please put a note with your order to indicate that it's needed for an SEN setting, so that we know to include the relevant materials.

This is a really simple instrument that can produce a wide range of sounds, including a realistic clippity-clop. It is a type of woodblock but it has a satisfying wood sound rather than the usual penetrating harsh sound of a conventional woodblock.
It is a light and tactile instrument easily held in the palm of your hand.
This is a useful additional instrument to those in our Music Kits.

For Early Years and older players.
Everyone seems to love bongos because they are two drums in one. Made of wood and goat skin, these are light but robust. The two drums have different random pitches of 'low' and 'high' making the iconic bongo sound.
A nice large size for small children, these will sit on a surface while younger children play them either with hands or (preferably) soft beaters. Older players can play with the bongos in their lap or on a desktop and should use only the hands, not beaters.
Bongos are included in our Early Years Big Stuff Kit and in many of our Percussion Packs for schools.

This is a small drum on the end of a stick which is played by the beads hitting the surface when you move it.
Young children like to get their hands on this instrument which is why we've included it in our Lots Of Littles Kit. It is quite a challenge to play this instrument in time but very makes a satisfying clacky sound. It is even more enticing because it is painted with a cryptic animal which children love to identify and talk about.
It's played by vigorously twisting it to make the fast rattling sound.

A small tambourine with a rustic feel. For the older ages of Early Years children (4 onwards), this tambourine is robust and is a useful addition to our Music Kits.
